Schott Duran 8330:

DURAN® is a low expansion borosilicate glass known for its stability, good workability and high thermal shock resistance. It is similar to Pyrex however manufactured in Germany. DURAN® low rate of thermal expansion makes it an excellent material for many applications. DURAN® is resistant to corrosion and remains absolutely neutral, even to aggressive chemicals, in nearly all fields of chemistry. Borosilicate glass is extremely resistant to water, acids, salt solutions, organic substances and halogen. DURAN® borosilicate glass is also highly resistant to alkali.

Corning Pyrex 7740 Pyrex® Brand 7740 Glass Borosilicate – Low Expansion – Type 1 Glass:

Of the hundreds of commercial glasses produced, Code No. 7740 borosilicate glass comes closest to being the ideal glass for most laboratory applications. With proper care, it will withstand nearly all temperatures used in normal laboratory use. It is highly resistant to chemical attack. Its low coefficient of expansion allows it to be manufactured with heavy walls, giving it mechanical strength, while retaining reasonable heat resistance. And, it is a glass that can be fabricated more easily than most other glasses, thus making it more economical.

Kimble Kimax KG33:

Kimax is also known as KG-33, and is a low expansion borosilicate glass. It is very similar to Pyrex, having the same chemical and physical properties. KG-33 glass is good for normal use temperature of 446 degrees F and maximum use temperature 914 degrees F.

Schott 8250:

Electrically high-insulation and low-melting borosilicate glass, it is utilized for sealing to KOVAR metal and molybdenum. This glass is used as sealing glass for x-ray, transmitter and frame-multiplier tubes, and also for He-Ne-lasers, clad tubes for optical fibres and ozone generators.

GE-214 Quartz:

GE-214 is the industry standard clear fused quartz material. It provides excellent visual, thermal, and mechanical properties with low hydroxyl (oh) content and tight dimensional tolerances.
